Care & Cleaning
Routine Cleaning
β Use warm water with a mild household detergent.
β Gently clean using a soft-bristle brush.
β Rinse loose debris first with a standard garden hose.
β Avoid abrasive pads, scouring tools, or harsh cleaning chemicals.
β No specialised cleaning products or equipment are required for regular maintenance.
Spot Cleaning
β General Dirt & Debris: Rinse with water, then clean with warm soapy water using a soft brush.
β Mineral Deposits (Hard Water Marks): Apply a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water using a soft cloth. Leave for 5-10 minutes if required, then rinse clean.
β Oil, Grease & Food Stains: Clean as soon as possible, ideally within 7 days. Rinse, then wash with warm soapy water and gently scrub to remove residue.
β Mould & Mildew: Minimise build-up by regularly removing organic debris. Clean affected areas with mild soapy water and a soft brush.
General Maintenance and Inspection
β Carry out annual inspections of faΓ§ade surfaces.
β Check for signs of wear, scratches, or mechanical damage.
β Localised areas of wear can be lightly sanded and refinished using Novano-approved primer and colour coating systems.
β Areas exposed to standing water should be properly sealed using approved coatings.
β Refinishing is typically aesthetic and not required for structural performance.
β Always use Novano-approved coating systems to ensure full material compatibility.
Care Maintenance in High-Exposure Areas
β Areas subject to frequent water exposure, such as faΓ§ade edges, drainage zones, and roof overhangs, may benefit from additional sealing. Periodic recoating using the Novano-approved colour system can help maintain appearance and reduce localised staining over time.
Safety Instructions & Environmental Guidance
β Do not burn Novano materials, as this may release harmful gases.
