Care & Cleaning

Routine Cleaning

βœ“ Use warm water with a mild household detergent.

βœ“ Gently clean using a soft-bristle brush.

βœ“ Rinse loose debris first with a standard garden hose.

βœ“ Avoid abrasive pads, scouring tools, or harsh cleaning chemicals.

βœ“ No specialised cleaning products or equipment are required for regular maintenance.

βœ“ General Dirt & Debris: Rinse with water, then clean with warm soapy water using a soft brush.

βœ“ Mineral Deposits (Hard Water Marks): Apply a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water using a soft cloth. Leave for 5-10 minutes if required, then rinse clean.

βœ“ Oil, Grease & Food Stains: Clean as soon as possible, ideally within 7 days. Rinse, then wash with warm soapy water and gently scrub to remove residue.

βœ“ Mould & Mildew: Minimise build-up by regularly removing organic debris. Clean affected areas with mild soapy water and a soft brush.

βœ“ Carry out annual inspections of faΓ§ade surfaces.

βœ“ Check for signs of wear, scratches, or mechanical damage.

βœ“ Localised areas of wear can be lightly sanded and refinished using Novano-approved primer and colour coating systems.

βœ“ Areas exposed to standing water should be properly sealed using approved coatings.

βœ“ Refinishing is typically aesthetic and not required for structural performance.

βœ“ Always use Novano-approved coating systems to ensure full material compatibility.

βœ“ Areas subject to frequent water exposure, such as faΓ§ade edges, drainage zones, and roof overhangs, may benefit from additional sealing. Periodic recoating using the Novano-approved colour system can help maintain appearance and reduce localised staining over time.

βœ“ Do not burn Novano materials, as this may release harmful gases.

βœ“ Store products flat, covered, and in dry, well-ventilated conditions prior to installation.

βœ“ Avoid strong acidic, chlorinated, bleach-based, or solvent-based cleaners.

βœ“ Do not use high-pressure washers directly on the surface.

βœ“ Novano products are fully recyclable at end of life and support responsible material use.
