Care & Cleaning
Routine Cleaning
β Use warm water and a mild household dish soap (e.g. gentle washing-up liquid).
β Lightly scrub using a soft-bristle brush.
β Rinse loose debris first with a standard garden hose.
β Avoid abrasive pads, scouring tools, or harsh cleaning agents.
β No specialised cleaners or equipment are required for routine maintenance.
Spot Cleaning
β Dirt & Debris: Rinse with a hose, scrub with warm soapy water and a soft brush.
β Lime Scale (Hard Water Deposits): Mix equal parts white vinegar and water. Spray or apply with a soft cloth. Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes for stubborn deposits, then wipe clean.
β Oil, Grease, and Food Stains: Clean food spills as soon as possible, ideally within 7 days. Rinse with a hose, then clean with warm, soapy water and gently scrub with a soft brush to remove any residue.
β Mould & Mildew: Prevent buildup by removing pollen, dirt, and organic material regularly. Clean with mild soapy water and a soft bristle brush to eliminate any growth.
General Maintenance and Periodic Inspection
β Perform annual inspections of faΓ§ades for potential damage.
β Look for any surface damage, scratches, or mechanical wear.
β In cases of heavier wear or surface damage, the affected area can be lightly sanded and refinished using the base primer and colour coating layer.Β
β Surfaces exposed to spray water or moisture accumulation should be properly sealed with Novano-approved coating.
β Refinishing is primarily recommended for aesthetic reasons, not structural integrity.
β Always use only Novano-approved primer and coating. Only these authorised surface treatments may be used to ensure full compatibility with Novano materials.
Care Maintenance in High-Exposure Areas
β Areas exposed to constant spray, such as gable ends, overhangs, or water runoff zones, may benefit from additional sealing with the Novano-approved colour coat system. This added protection helps reduce localised soiling and water staining over time.
β These high-exposure surfaces should be sealed or periodically recoated using the Novano-approved colour coat system to maintain optimal appearance and protection.
Safety Instructions & Environmental Considerations
β Do not burn Novano products. Combustion may release harmful gases.
β Always store the products flat, fully covered, and in dry, ventilated conditions before installation.
β Avoid strong acidic, chlorinated, bleach-based, or solvent cleaners.
β Novano products are fully recyclable and environmentally responsible at end-of-life.
β Never use high-pressure washers on Novano surfaces.
